Viral Strategies
   and Tell a friend  techniques

So much for me being a savvy and up to date internet marketer. I was making a comfortable living online but I was missing the boat on a few things.

Like the factt that you can readily sell household items to the general public in large numbers. I had erroneously believed that since those things were commonly available down the street that no one would ever buy them online - wrong!

The turning point for me shedding that belief was when a good friend of mine showed me how he was turning his offline biz into a thriving online one, selling commonplace products such as childrens furniture and rain water tanks.

I guess what initially surprised me wasn't that you could make a comfortable living online ( I already did that myself)

What was most interesting to me was the way in which my marketing friend was succeeding despite selling things that I would have deemed problematic to move on the net.

What I mean by this is that I was largely in the dark that the public routinely purchase big ticket items via the net, which are very regular household products.

I think about it though and I shouldn't be at all surprised since I myself have been assisting people in selling their property even though I never witness their home first ahand ...and sometimes the properties are as far away as 5,000 miles.

It certainly gives me a buzz to see how regular people just like me a re doing online nad it's a real indication that the net will just continue to grow in importance as a medium for marketing all manner of goods and services.

I'll keep helping sell homes and my buddy will fulfill the needs of people wanting either a cot mattress ,a baby playpen or even a big rain water tank.

His site is already being seen by Google as an authority site for all things related to childrens nursery furniture.

The reason it's so simple to sell online is that we are filling a void and that is to provide the ultimate in ease of shopping. These days people want convenience almost as much as they desire value for money. Perhaps even more so.

Joe Public has become time poor but is still fairly cashed up and looking to spend and he or she really just want quick fixes to all of their problems.

So as an internet marketing you are in the business of solving peoples problems. Do that and they will line your pockets with gratitude and money. Enough money to sustain your work at home ideals.

Always bear in mind one particular thing about internet marketing. Your customers expect speed and also convenience.

You can provide a "wham bam, thank you madam" kind of service. Not at the expense of sound customer service of course.

People are now used to expecting things on the internet with a sense of instant gratification.

It doesn't mean that you can't treat your customers well, of course you should but have the sytems in place for speed and efficiency in processing their orders or questions.

Give them what they want quicker and better than they can get it elsewhere...and they'll love you for it!
